why conlangs?
After learning Spanish for some time, I must have discovered
something about making your own language (the details are fuzzy). I never
knew it was possible for one single person to create an entire lanuage, and
that absolutely blew my mind. It’s fun to experiment and play with certain
grammatical aspects you’ve never had the delight to use in your native
language or any other language thereof!
sona
Sona is an auxiliary language created in 1935, and is my
absolute favorite constructed language. In fact, I love it so much, I dedicated an entire page to the language! Please, please check it out!
ko
Ko is MY conlang, comprised of a hot-pot of my favorite
grammatical features, and borrowed vocabulary from previous linguistic
projects that I have participated in to truly make it personally mine. I
started making in November 2020 and have been working on it on and off.
I will showcase more of it in the future.
toki pona
Toki Pona was created by Sonja Lang in 2001, an artlang often
dubbed “the easiest language to learn” of all time. I joined the community
in October 2019, enjoying the language. After discovering Sona, however, I
slowly faded out of the community.
